It's official!

School has begun.

No more sleeping in.

No more lounging around watching TV.

No more lazy afternoons spent doing whatever you want.

And the same goes for my kids.

This house is a K12 house - and we love it. Bradley is in first grade, Madison has begun pre-school, and Marshall is pretty sure he's completing his Master's in Quantum Physics.

Today's favorite subject? Art!

We studied the make-believe world created in Marc Chagall's, I and the Village.

We discussed the difference between paintings and sculptures, movement and stillness, with our friend, the Flying Horse.

And when it was our turn to create,
crayons were given,
tongues were chewed in concentration,
breath held...

...but finally...

Horse with Green Clouds, by Bradley

and Bunny, Cat, Horse, Dog, and Birdie, by Madison

Beat THAT, Van Gogh!

Stacie, I saw your comment on my blog and I totally agree. Heck, I think we should do it sooner! I need your email address too because I'm starting homeschool preschool on Monday and I could use some suggestions.
